So, typical setups can be something like this in a simple network diagram -

DSL<=>multi-service concentrator<=>CBX550<=>lucent core OLS400G
Ethernet<=>ATM Access Switch/Router<=>CBX550<=> OLS400G
Ethernet/ATM switch<=>multiserviceconcentrator<=>CBX550<=>OLS400G

Thank you for the diagram. You jogged in my mind something else that Ejabat had said in Scottsdale. He said something to the effect that there is a need for more transmission capacity before considerably more core switching can be installed. Looks like LU is help doing the trick on the capacity end of the game.
