And I agree with what you say. I also believe that the best thing for shareholders would be a settlement leading to a bunch of baby bills. The point is that no matter what happens this stock will do well long term (although perhaps less well if litigation is prolonged). The other point is that the noise on the news programs is comic farse. They have been telling us all along that the government has been slam dunking microsoft throughout the trial. In addition they have not hesitated to tell us when the judge chuckled,
shook his head in disbelief, or otherwise telegraphed his opinion that the DOJ was right. I guess they have to present this as a shocking unexpected opinion in order to fill air time and hopefully keep the audience watching. Nobody who has followed this trial expected any other result. Investors, large and small, have already factored this news into the price of the stock.
