1 - Yes, 2 Yes 3+4 I don't really know because I don't use MSWorks and I don't know what formats it will open. 5 + 6 yes Could both systems (Windows & Linux) exist on the same system (computer)? Yes Where would I get the OS? You can download Linux or buy a CD (for a lot less then Windows), or even buy a PC with Linux preinstalled. Where would I get the software? Lots of places but while there is a lot of software available for Linux there is even more for Windows. I have heard that the Linux OS is impossible to penetrate with a "virus". . . is that true? No. It is probably more secure then Windows and it is also not targeted as often by virus writers but no OS is 100% immune to Viruses. Linux is no exception to that rule. It has bugs and security holes and viruses just like other OSs. If so, isn't it a "no brainer"? I wouldn't switch from one to the other without some thought. For many people an OS change might no be worth it. You have to learn new ways of doing things and run some new programs. There are advantages of switching but the swithc is not a "no brainer". Tim
