On every level, I couldn't agree more with your statement, mph!

Once a person has told a blatant lie, most of us will give them another change. BUT if it happens again, their word is toast, and not to be believed. We learned that in kindergarten, as Robert Fulgrum said....

We taught our children that a man or woman only has their word...it is their Bond. Once it is broken, it is very difficult to get back.

Jurors are instructed in civil trials that if they found that a witness was untruthful, they can disregard anything that witness had to say unless they were convinced that some portion of the testimony was credible.
