The iomega booth was huge with lots more people compared to the Syquest. The iomega booth also had a presentation in which the Jazz was used to run a full motion video featuring the commercial for the last batman movie (I forgot what it was). As far as i'm concerned, the pics were flawless and smooth a marble slab; Although i didn't find out what cpu was used.

As usual, they gave out pins and bags advertising their company. After the market closed and I was heartstricken by the 10 pt decrease, I grabbed one of their reps and asked him if he had any position in the company. He said yes and I told him he just lost a quarter of his net worth. He raised his eyebrows for a second and then smiled to me.

At this point, I would make the following observations

1) Zip will become the standard

2) iomega believes they will become the standard (very important since on their last annual report, they still espoused skepticism).

3) Iomega is becoming more and more aggressive. Read the transcript of their press conference and gather from the tone. They are announcing more and more partners. Six since last week and more on the wings.

4) The stock can only make a turn around at this point IMO. Yesterday's drop was more phycological than anything else. Self fulfilling prophecy "if it goes below 35, it'll drop into the 20's"; that's what happened.
