Qbull, Thanks for the IBD article. As usual, they got it wrong by using quotes from Mr. King at Rydex (Senior portfolio manager) who obviously doesn’t have an inkling of understanding about Qualcomm or CDMA. It’s interesting that Mr. King says he owns Qualcomm shares, yet he must not have heard Mr. Keitel at the shareholders meeting yesterday who stated on several occasions that CDMA is in its INFANCY. The article did not state if Mr. King's position was long or short. Once I believe Bill stated that CDMA had 15% of the world’s wireless subscribers which is growing to 90 -95%. Later I believe he said growing to 100%. That sounds like a lot of ”growth opportunity” to me.

The Best Is Yet To Come- jim

Mr. King's ignorant comments-

>>>>>
"When a tech company pays a dividend for the first time, it signals they may not have a whole lot of growth opportunities," said Jim King, a senior portfolio manager at Rydex Funds, which owns Qualcomm shares. "There's continual growth, but not a whole lot of untapped income."
King says it's likely tech companies will start re-evaluating their dividend policies as they see their markets getting saturated.

"It's usually when a company gets mature, when their products have penetrated so many markets," King said. "Companies figure they can't put the money to as good a use as shareholders." <<<
