HI Chen & ALL: this is a post I typed talking with a friend in
the coffie shop..but in as much as I got into AOL I'll post it
here.
--------------------------
Maybe I used the wrong terms..I don't know that they
will turn around fast..but if they come in they will turn my
account around fast;..they are long term shorts positions
98 and 99 leaps, ( puts ) on one company I think is nothing but a
hot air ballon thats going to run out of gas, it may go for
a while yet but it'l come down. ( AOL ), There is new stuff right
around the conner that I think will blow her away..wireless local
loop is begining to make itself known..AOL will have a lot of
modems to eat when WLL gets going..and sprint is as I write this
quitly building it out..and has a plan to turn "radio shack out
lets" into WLL ISPs, the future impact of this is to much for me
to put on this thread. Keep in mind with WLL you can surf even
faster than if you had a privet ISDN line..this is like going
from the pre WW1 Biplanes to the JET age..and it's happening
at a rate so fast it staggers my mind. Seems like yesterday
I remember BILL GATES stating "640K THATS ALL THE MEMORY ANY
ONE SHOULD EVER NEED"..I use to build boxes..and how many times
have I said or been told..80 meg hard drive..I'l never use that
up..<G> and I can remember how I did wonder and marvel at the speed when the 286
came out..now you can't hardly give away a 286, even
ifin it still works good. One more thing USRX just annouced it was
going to get into WLL..alas I think maybe they have fell behind
the curve, I can remember when my uncle owned a PACKARD automobile,
it was the car to have..we were the only one on the street with
one..in West Philly..I was 7 or 8 years old..and use "run" the
neiborhood to pick up the tickets and change for my uncle..thought
it was all natural..why even the cops played the numbers, my uncle
held on to that packard even after it quit running..haven't seen one now in years..and the old Hudson Hornet with the hemi head..were did it go..was the best dog gone engine they ever made.
.man that thing was fast..what am I talking about surly this has nothing to do with AOL..but what is this WLL...no it won't take over, and no we can never put a man on the moon..and last year out at Long
Beach I walked on the deck of the Mighty Queen Mary..nothing but
a relic now. Wonder if they will some day sell tickets to visit
the once mighty AOL. WLL will do to her what air travel did to
the might ships, and great trains, she don't got the pockets to
make the turn..will it be MCI..FON..or AT&T that rules the internet I don't know..but it wont be AOL, one of them will make her
a snack for lunch, well that's what I'm a betting on, every time
she gets up I buy more puts. If she crashes in the next two years
I will be able to retire.
I haven't morgaged the house or spent more over time on theos
puts than most lottery players spend on lotto tickets..I have
never bought a lotto ticket and won't, I got to be able to
handicap anything I bet on, and I know that lotto picking
systems are nothing but a scam..My whole family was gamblers
and made a living at it , ( but it had it's down side, and they
never got very rich that they didn't somehow give it back )
Heck my Grand father owned his own plane back in the 40ts,
Two houses and all kinds of cars..but he died just about broke.
I never caught onto gambling like the roll models I had, and I guess I do worst than any of them did, ( except it's not my
whole life ) I do manage to win a few more than I lose, if you can't stand losing don't gamble..it's like if you can't do time,
don't fool with crime.. but the one I like the most, is "IF
you can't stand the Heat..get outa the kitchen"
AOL sucks, she is a hot air baloon , the biggest scam of all the
internet scams..she will crash and burn..but when I don't know,
you can ride with the tide , chip away at her zigs and zags, feel fairly comfortable "that profit taking will kick in when she hits fast 20% gains," put a few dollars , but not ones
that will hurt you into long term puts.."if you see her as I do,"
or go long and let the sharks take your money down the road.
Had I stumbled onto AOL last year I would have made a fortune
by now , but I got to the table a little late..all the good
seats were taken..or too expensive..the long term calls, are
not there by people bullish on AOL..they were bought and are
being used as cover for professional short sellers, I notice
some of them have droped their insurance latly..that could be
sign they are going to turn in their hands, many of them own
stock they got dirt cheap..while they kept her trending up,
always buying a few more than they sold short..always working
towards that edge, to were when they put down their cards and
say rummy..they will have a nice slice of the pie, even if she
goes back to $7..they have played her well, my hat is off to
them..some real pros have visited this baby..better than I could
ever have done. I'l just hang around and pick up a few crumbs
with my puts when they finnish with her.
