Darth, SUNW may gap down on news. From briefing:

"Instead, SQNT announces plans to collaborate with Digital Equipment (DEC) on a 64-bit UNIX initiative to establish the leading UNIX on the IA-64 enterprise computing architecture, and the most interoperable UNIX with Windows NT."

CNBC reporting that this may be serious competition for Solaris.
