That said, I bought some GE yesterday. Why?

Greater financial stability, for one.
The Buffet halo effect, number two.
GE is a greater value play today than six months ago, number three
The dividend, number, number four, and five.
I have never been crazy about Immelt. But I believe this was a move he had to make. Despite the numbers, as a percentage of stock, it's not a great deal of dilution. It also could hasten GE being broken up.

While I wait, I'll be collecting the dividend.
