I don't think it's a matter of number of trades, but it's the number
of shares or contracts. If it's more than 1000 shares or 10
contracts, the order will be routed for approval even if there
is enough fund in the account.

I would call a live broker if I know stock is moving fast and
the order is pending. Or even better call the live broker
in the first place.
