In the past year, 47 unique aliases have postings by more than one account (x5 topped the list), 85 in the past two years (x8), and 2703 since day one (x44).

If we go to a unique alias structure, we'll have to eliminate the duplicates (by appending the account number or some other variable). We should probably "retire" each alias as it's used to minimize confusion, but allowing changes every 90 days might be too often. Maybe allow anyone to change after conversion to the new UI, but then they have to wait a year before changing again, with exceptions as warranted by circumstances.

It probably wouldn't hurt to have some additional guidelines regarding Yahooish impersonations, such as Bi11 for Bill, or Sarnuel for Samuel, as well as appropriateness.... unless the shoe fits? Member 7741916
