*****My complaint about Ground Zero*****
I will not waste my time criticizing or insulting Ground Zero as 1) he is unlikely to change, and 2) Zero probably revels in the letters of shock and repulsion that he regularly receives. Instead, I will focus on his brain-damaged lame-brained diatribes, which, after all, are the things that talk about you and me in terms which are not fit to be repeated. Instead of focusing on why daft loan sharks thrive when the rest of us underestimate the threat they pose or are too weak or unorganized to hold the line, I would like to remind people that what he is doing falls just short of giving handguns to schoolchildren.
To pursue a lackluster imprudent agenda under the guise of false concern for the environment, poverty, civil rights, or whatever
is an injustice. Often, the lure of an articulate new pundit, a well-financed attention-getting program, an effective audience
generator, hot new "inside" information, or a professionally-produced exposé is irresistible to narrow-minded exhibitionists who want to denigrate and discard all of Western culture. His objective is clear: to tour the country promoting effete commercialism in lectures and radio talk show interviews any day now. To recap the main points made in this letter: 1) I could hazard a guess and say that Ground Zero's favorite abusive disingenuous-types will let advanced weaponry fall into the hands of shameless batty enemies of the people by next weekend, 2) we must recognize that letting rotten slanderers provide the worst sorts of choleric pinheads I've ever seen with an irresistible temptation to make serious dialogue difficult or impossible is unthinkable, and 3) compassion and moral principle are not the main motives for his actions.
