Were things "better" under Saddam? Seems to be the viewpoint of antiwar protesters. That something for the Iraqis to answer. However, looking at it from the outside, it would seem the answer unfortunately has become "yes" over the past 3 years. You're the guy who used to say a nation should determine its own destiny. They seem to be doing a lot more of that since the demise of Saddam than when he was in power. Maybe they should have started [seeking their destiny] when Saddam was still in power.
