It was from a few big buys by some momentum players. Then he started calling the anal-ysts explaining the the run up was not warranted, etc. I do not know what happened next, but I would be willing to bet that the institutional folks started selling, making a profit, and bringing the price down. The price declined rapidly. See the charts beginning in about October 96 through about January 96.
