Can some of the more technical people answer this question:

Eventually, when "Java Chips" are used in NC's running the Java OS, will applets be capable of communicating with the processor (the Java Chip)?

If so, no more sandbox, and Java will have the same security problems as ActiveX.

BTW, they're working on a form of Java which doesn't reside in a "sandbox." Same security implications here.
