The only way CSCO is going to reach the top spot in remote access concentrators by the end of the year will be by aquiring Ascend. I know you recall that the last big rumor run-up (after LU, NT, IBM, BAY,& LU again) had Cisco as the buyer. Rumor had it that the place (Ascend, Alameda) was buzzing that Cisco was going to aquire them. Larry, 1. I've missed your posts. 2. Now that (the above) is a very interesting thought. I had forgotten about the CSCO rumor abuzz in Alameda. 3. Maverick, what do you think? Is this a fit? Or is there overlap with Stratacom, etc.? Gary Korn
