Corporations by their very nature are greedy and are willing to price-fix,pollute,etc because they know that they will incur at most a small fine.......just look at Wall Street shenanigans(Merrill Lynch paid less in fines than what is their normal yearly postal bill).As a shareholder in stocks what did you get as recompense for being lied to via tainted Research.
