Holly, wild salmon (what some would call free range salmon) are the joyous ones. They play their salmon games in the vast ocean, where they are not exposed to excessive amounts of mercury. I'd think the joyless, dour farm raised salmon (the ones lacking a sense of humor) are the ones most familiar with mercury poisoning, as they spend their lives in shallow coastal waters.
