Allen, I would like to add a bit of project development insight
to your comments. Not only is the Component Integrator software
from VenturCom expensive, but this step would also mandate yet
another round of system testing to ensure the software still
runs correctly. In reality, the dis-integration step would have
to occur before the software would even fit on the target
hardware, otherwise you wouldn't need the Component Integrator to
begin with. All this translates into even higher product
development costs, and the main cost component is high-tech labor.
