Japan Telecom Picks 3Com For Internet Remote Access HONG KONG, CHINA, 1999 JUL 20 (Newsbytes) -- By staff, IT Daily. 3Com [NASDAQ:COMS] has announced the sale of its Total Control multi-service remote access platform to Open Data Network (ODN), Japan Telecom's Internet service provider (ISP) Service. ODN, one of the fastest-growing ISPs in Japan, bought 30 Total Control remote access concentrators to benefit more than 370,000 ODN subscribers. 3Com's Total Control multi-service access platform provides telecommunications carriers and network service providers a complete networking "solution," including support for remote access, Internet Protocol (IP) telephony and virtual private networking applications.
