The availabilty date of Corel products, or any other
product, is not the issue. Yes long term relationships
can be beneficial etc BUT it is a relatively simple
process to substitute one application for another, or
even operating system. Just look at all the other millions
of option combinations that PC suppliers already deal with.
The point is not the relative sophistication of products,or
speed to Market; its the ease of ordering a product without
any Microsoft software. If PC suppliers had not been hindered by agreements (illegal or otherwise) with Microsoft it would have been easy to configure, test and sell an non-Microsoft PC, from the perspective of the necessary operations within the vendor.

I built my first computer in 1979. Maybe we do have something in common :-). Dont you think the "old" days
pre Microsoft domination were much more fun?
