Ed, you wrote, as possible buyers of SGI, How about Compaq or even Dell? For heaven's sake man, Compaq just bought Tandem, who is about the size of SGI. No way they would consider swallowing another one like that so soon. BTW, just a lurker, but I feel a need to put in a fact about some recent buyouts. Some here have been "asking" for up to $30 a share. There was nowhere near that much of a premium in a couple of recent tech buyouts. Intel paid only about 20% premium for Chips and Technologies; Fujitsu the same for Amdahl. Could be wrong but we'll see. Regards, Tony
