Soup: I've probably installed more RAM in more Macs than you, even though you work in a computer store. I assume I'll get the diagram I need in the MANUAL with my computer, that I won't need a diagram, because it will be obvious, and that I'll be able to get through to Apple fast, if I need to. But in case I don't, since this thread has proven a good resource for site info, I asked for a url.
I've been buying RAM as a reseller, from Chip Merchant for more than a decade, and they are a superior company with superior pricing. I find your criticism of them inaccurate.
You wasted time plugging computer stores, which doesn't come under the heading of "necessary thread info" from your definition. I just thought I'd point that out.
Frankly, any thread can get tedious, in my opinion, if it's only about earnings, and also can get tedious if it's only about fluff. I do think discussions about Apple products is appropriate in the Apple thread, and I understand you don't. I've been reading the Borland thread for a few days now, and my head is spinning from discussion of compilers and languages. Still, I've been polite and haven't complained. We have to get along with our neighbors, right?
I'm sure that we'll all be able to compromise to some extent: you by tolerating some info you don't care to read and me by tolerating some info I don't want to read. Etc. I'll reduce my support questions a bit, and you'll reduce your complaining a bit? How about it?
