Exodus jumps on heavy volume, again

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Exodus Communications is continuing where it left off on Friday, surging 22 cents, or 13 percent, to $1.87. Volume is 27.5 million shares, already well-above its daily average, and enough to make it the most-active Nasdaq listed stock. The Web hosting company's stock had powered up 28 percent on Nasdaq-leading volume of 54.6 million shares on Friday, helped by an article in BusinessWeek, which gave reported excerpts from an interview with Exodus chief executive, Ellen Hancock. She assured the weekly magazine that Exodus would be the 'last man standing,' and said there were indications that the industry conditions 'may have hit bottom.'
