Movies (http://movies.entertainmentblvd.com) -
There are a few new movies opening this weekend, and a few old ones are still holding strong (you can see the box office receipts through the Entertainment Boulevard Movies site). This weekend, Robin Williams returns to the screen as a World War II book shop owner in an occupied town, raising the failing hopes of his fellow townspeople in "Jakob the Liar." Also new this weekend are the romantic comedy "Dog Park," with Janeane Garofalo, and "Mumford," a quirky comedy by Lawrence Kasdan. The "Mumford" cast includes Ted Danson and Martin Short and star Loren Dean as a small-town psychologist.
Halloween is slowly creeping up, and the theaters are rife with spooky movies! With "The Sixth Sense," "Stir of Echoes," and "Stigmata" still in theaters, movie lovers have been experiencing many sleepless nights.
Next up: "American Beauty" is already playing in Los Angeles and New York, but it will be playing in theaters everywhere soon. Check it out!
Feel like staying home this weekend? There are a couple of new movies out on video that you should see if you didn't catch them in the theater. Special effects fans will love "The Matrix," which already has two sequels in the works. And the whole family can enjoy "My Favorite Martian." This film version of the classic television show stars Christopher Lloyd in the title role.
