In an ongoing effort to continue my education I purchased "Successful Stock Market Speculation (A Speculator's Manual)" by Calgarian, T. E. Carter. It was written in 1990 and I don't believe it was aimed at the daytrader (in fact the term is never even mentioned; perhaps it hadn't been coined yet) but the concepts appear to be valid although elementary in nature. At the back of the book he mentions his "Carter's Choice Newsletter" with 6 month subscription of $250.00 or 1 year for $450.00 which selects stocks that meet the trading criteria outlined in his book. Has anyone had any experience with either Mr. Carter or his newsletter, and what kind of success / fail ratio was achieved using his stock recommendations?
