The caddy probably had too many moving parts...you'd have to center the n-hand cartridge in middle of the "caddy", and line up the output head with the zip input head.

obviously, much easier to design a dedicated n-reader.

non-compatibility with zip might slow acceptance of n-hand.

i'd buy a n-hand camera without thinking IF it were compatible with zip. not so sure if i have to buy ANOTHER drive. (got zip/jaz/3.5"/2 HD/CD) do i really need n-hand and DVD???
