The patriots are defensive. All there existence shows is that we see some reason for concern. The increased troop strength is for Iraq. Its obviously insufficent to invade Iran.

Now if we had an army as large as it was back in the 80s, and we sent several hundred thousand more soldiers in to the area, than you might have a point.
