And the irony of it is that GZ claims to have served. You'd think he be a bit more concerned about the atrocious treatment of US veterans. I guess there are two kinds of vets in his world, and those that were crippled either physically or mentally just don't count. Well, you have to remember that GZ is crippled........and it wasn't a physical injury. I simply cannot understand how the US government can discard these broken heroes when it would take only a miniscule percentage of the military budget to look after them properly. They just don't care. Remember this is the same president who was playing his guitar trying to raise $$$ for the GOP while New Orleans flooded. So it looks like the wounded vets are screwed unless they can find a lobby group to bribe the government to provide them with the support that they have earned and deserve. People are very angry. More and more Americans are becoming incensed as the extent of this crew's incompetence and dishonesty surfaces. The next two years should be pretty interesting. I will be surprised if Bush stays as president til the end of his 8 years. The republicans cry of "support the troops" is simply empty rhetoric. Perhaps it should be "support the troops who are still usefull for more killing". That said, where are the spineless democrats on this issue? Where is the media? Both AWOL as well. Look.......the GOP is the party of the rich. They have very little use for people who actually volunteer to fight for their country. The 'smart' GOPer stays home and gets rich. You can even find repubs on SI that trash Max Clelland. I guess you are not a war hero unless you lose all 4 limbs in combat, and blindly support Dubya and the rest of the ghouls. The only loyalty they have are to themselves. Unfortunately, its taken Americans a long time to figure it out. I've never seen such a revolting bunch as those that led the US into this sequence of wars of aggression. Agreed. As for GZ, I figure he'll be getting on the down escalator after he's done his time on this planet. He just wants to see more killing. One can only hope.
