Family Adopts Dying 'Hospice Babies'

Amidst the devastating culture of death promulgated by Planned Parenthood-supporting leftists, there remain deeply inspirational stories of heroes to fight back the nihilism.

Terminally ill babies, also known as "hospice babies," have found loving care and attention with husband-and-wife Mark and Cori Salchet at their home, aptly titled "the house of hope." The couple adopts the babies, who are otherwise unwanted, into their home and gives them the necessary care needed until they pass on.

Most children adopted into the home come from families who either can't handle the baby's condition or bear to watch their child die.

The wife Cori has been working in hospice care most her life, including with infants. The practice of taking babies into their home began in 2012 when they cared for a newborn girl diagnosed without the left or right hemisphere of her brain.

"She could have died in the hospital, wrapped in a blanket and set to the side because she was being sustained with a feeding pump," Salchert explained. "But we brought this beautiful baby home to live, and live she did."

The little girl, named Emmalyn, survived 50 days in their care before passing on. They have since taken multiple hospice babies into their home and are deeply thankful for the work they get to do.
