Hi Jack: Your right about it being a semi index, and I didn't mean
to say AOL tracks it. I use the SOX to get a feel about how the
general mood is. Mostly I don't buy aginst it's trend in any
tech issue ( for day trading )..I wait untill the SOX mood is
going the way I want to go. Things and moods tend to rub off,
"but don't always do so." I use it not so much as a buy or
sell signal but as one that can put me on hold.
to put what I said in in context, I was just refering to what
I expected for today, in as much as AOL was showing me signs of
being weak already I felt if the SOX went down today she would
follow. I'm aware of haw many many times AOL will fly in the face
of the market, it don't seem to track anything. <G>
So far today I holding the short end of the stick..the SOX is down
and AOL is up, but thats not the last call I'l ever get wrong.
I still think she is due for profit taking before she goes on
up, and the puts came to me, and now she just wants to sit there
and laugh at me...<gggg>
