Thanks for your posts William. I just wanted to add that if DVD-RAM takes off (and a LOT of people are predicting just that), then CUBE is in for some mass consumer distribution of their codec (higher price than the decoder) chip. With rewritable CDs, people are that interested in codec, since you can't fit that much MPEG2 (high quality video) onto 650 meg, but with 5.2 gig, it makes sense to get the codec along with you camcorder (home video recordings onto DVD - infinite life time of memories without deterioration), or another DVD drive (some people might be tempted to copy a DVD, if copy-protection mechanisms don't exist), your digital camera can store approximately 5000 pictures on a single DVD. Well, you get the idea.
