Richard, in the United States there is a long-standing tradition on April Fools day to pull pranks, tell jokes, and attempt to fool people. I could not understand why then, 23 days ago, some folks got so bent out of shape out of some of the obvious prank posts like the one to which you refer. The SI posters are not engaged in business on SI in any traditional sense, and therefore do not have any obligation to be serious on all occasions, as would a news service. The posts on SI are meant to be conversational in nature (although some are controversial as well), and there is no obligation on anyone's part to post meaningful commentary or factual information in every single post (although it is prohibited to post false information, that's not what I'm talking about). Merely because you got taken in by a few prank posts, does not mean that you should take it out on us. April Fool, we got you. Take a joke. Merely because you don't want to have any fun on SI does not mean that the rest of us do or should share your view. btw, complaints to the webmistress should be infrequent and limited to instances where your life is threatened, demonstrably false and material information is posted (not an opinion or an obvious prank, mind you), or extreme profanity is used against another poster. In virtually all other instances posters should be able to work out their problems between themselves without running to "mommy Jill." She has enough real work to do. That being said, you appear to be trying to work out your disagreements with David right now, and I applaud your efforts to do so, although I disagree with the substance of your complaint. I've had some losers recently too. I know what it feels like. But threads need naysayers and rock-throwers to keep the cheerleaders in check. It is always healthy to examine your investments from both sides. Quite frankly, CUBE has no naysayers right now, and that is not great for the thread. Although we gave Rarebird a horrible time while he was throwing rocks at CUBE (mostly because his style is so abrasive) I welcomed his reasoned posts (his rantings I could do without). Good luck in your investments, and have a good weekend.
