PC-Spezialist says there was indeed a dip in demand for PCs, but that it only affected Intel-powered ones, while PCs in general, and AMD systems in particular, saw increased demand. "From the point of view of PC-Spezialist the reason for the fall in demand for Intel products is the massive shift in demand for AMD microprocessors accompanied by an increased demand for personal computers," says a statement from the company which can be found here. PC-Spezialist claims that since July, sales of PCs equipped with Athlon 900 or 1000MHz processors has risen in all its 121 stores, while sales of systems equipped with Intel chips have decreased. ® Related Story Intel blames Europe for lower profits
