The cost of a divx disk that it unlocked would be about the same as an open DVD disk. You still can't watch it on the neighbors Divx player though. DVD sales up in March..................... twice.com DVD player sales were up 11.6% for the month to 38,300 and stood at 106,600 for the quarter. While there's no sales history on which to develop a traditional annual selling rate for DVD players, based on the VCR selling pattern, DVD players currently are on track to sell about 500,000 this year. Weekly 1997-'98 sales comparisons are available for DVD players starting with the first statistical selling week of April.
