Bob's got it worse than us, professor - it's like 105 degrees F up there and it gets down to the 80's at night-time. Drought, crop failures, low oil prices, falling rates for drilling equip/services, and scarce/high prices for cattle feed, as well as dozens of folks dropping dead from the heat... the Governor (George Bush's son) says Texas is a disaster area and wants Federal emergency funds.
Lest we not forget, DELL is in Austin, and CPQ is in Houston. Texans are tough S.O.B.'s with a "can do" attitude and a blissful ignorance of what is impossible: how different from the French, who respond c'est impossible! as a matter of course, and are truly shackled by something called, "tradition".
My only regret about Paris, professor, is that you and I never enjoyed Kurosawa's films at the Odeon cinema on a rainy April afternoon.
