Honorable mention from a fund manager for QLT in the Sunday Toronto Star. thestar.com QLT was 1 of the stocks selected for the model portfolio in a stockpicking contest. As such, QLT will appear in the Star weekly. QLT Phototherapeutics, a Vancouver company known for developing techniques to treat cancer with light, is now in stage three clinical trials using low-level laser beams to arrest the progress of age-related macular degeneration, which eventually results in blindness
