thanks for asking my motivation. you can just assume one if you like. it originated as one of those "speak up when you see rudeness" thangs but once i got to typing away i got off track and somehow turned into a journalism professor, geeze, where did that come from. :-)

(it's not too late to go to law school. kath just started at age 49 and she loves it. go for it.)

since we've gotten side tracked on juvenile writing styles i'm going to share something that will make my earlier statement about juvenile mentality look terribly hypocritical (that way you don't have to do it yourself). <G> this is something my daughter wrote when she was in about second grade (give or take a year):

ONES UPONE A TIME THERE WAS A BRAVE GOLFER AND HIS NAME IS DUSTY ARRINGTON.ONE DAY HE DECIDED TO GO PLAY GOLF AND HE HIT A DUBBLE BOGIE AND GOT THE BEST SCORE AND HE WON THE GAME.IT WAS A GOOD GAME TO I LIKED IT HE LOVED IT.HE WAS BEST OF ALL MY MOM SAW IT TO SHE WAS THERE WITH ME IT WAS GETTING FUN TO ME MY MOM AND DON'T FORGET MY DAD IT WAS EXSIDING TO HIM VERY EXSIDING HE WAS SO HAPPY AND THIS WAS ON T.V. TO THIS GAME WON HIM A LOT OF MONEY AND CHANGE. THIS WAS IT THE FINNEL MOMMENT HAD COME.IT WAS TIME TO GET THE AWORD FOR BEST GOLFER OF THE YEAR AND THAT WAS MY DAD.AFTER THAT WAS SAID EVRYBODY CLAPPED AND CHEARD FOR MY DAD EVEN ME AND MY MOM. EVRYBODY CUNGRAGEALATED HIM THIS WAS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE.

pure fiction, full of lies, but it's the best thing i ever read. as far as i'm concerned there isn't a single spelling or grammatical error in it either.
