we must try to enjoy this christmas, for the next one may find fewer cheers as the asset markets meet with the reality of mainstreet, when mainstreet gets clobbered by wall street, when wall street gets pearl harboured by japan, once japan comes to grip with the direness of no demographic future ... etc
