Hi Alex:

Yes, I got out of the NB calls yesterday am, and am glad I did. Made a small gain (would have been better but I paid too much initially). My main problem these days is not with the trades I enter, but when I get out of them. Optimal time to close the position would have been before market close Monday or early in trading day Tuesday, as you did. Live and learn.

Again, this is a good thread. In light of recent market developments, it appears LEAPS may well be a good way to go. Briefing.com believes the networking sector is reaching bottom and won't be affected much by this downturn in the market, since the networking stocks have suffered their bear market already. COMS, CSCO and maybe even CSCC may be decent LEAP plays.

BTW, what are your thougts on the semis? I am Long LSI and it has been good to me, although probably not volatile enough for options. Bill has picked it up in his database. Prudential has a 12 month target of 90 for AMD and CYRX recently had a decent increase. INTC is the bellweather, but these other chipmakers are starting to give some decent competition. Long term, I think there are prospects with these two chip makers (as I have posted before, I run a CYRX based machine at home, and all of our new machines at the office are CYRX 133+ and 166+. I expect others to slowly catch on that INTC is not the only game in town.

Regards and good trading,

David
