JB,What is your opinion of TSMC and the overall Taiwanese position
on contract mfg for fabless IC Design Companies like QED amd MoSys.
Both QED and Mosys have contracted with TSMC to build products.
--QED:MIPS 50xx RISC processor
--Mosys MDRAMs(like fusion memory for graphics cards)
These products are also built by IDT.

TSMC can mfg WAY WAY WAY CHEAPER THAN IDT just look at there performance over last year:
-TSMC empoyees recieved 100,000 u.s. bucks each as a profit sharing bonus these guys this was during a "down" year.

-TSMC plans on expanding from 1.4 BILLION TO 14 BILLION over the
next 10 years.

I fear that companies like IDT that is neither a first rate design
house nor a cut rate mfg fab will get squeezed by the QED's and
the TSMC's.

FWIW TSMC just did an IPO in the U.S....ticker is TSM.
I was looking at buying some of this but the market cap
has gone from 5 Billion to 22 Billion over the past year
on sales of 1.4 Billion YIKES.My guess is it will runup
here soon but I would do nothing more than trade it very
short term with tight stops.
