TREEV Receives Expanded License to $2.5 Million From Kuala Lumpur Internet Exchange
Malaysia's First Internet Business Utility Accelerates Deployment of Internet-Based Solutions Using TREEV's Patented Technology
HERNDON, Va., July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- TREEV, Inc. (Nasdaq: TREV - news) today announced an expansion to $2.5 million of its current license agreement with Warga Media Sdn Bhd, of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for its patented document management software engine. TREEV's technology will act as the storage and distribution engine for the Kuala Lumpur Internet Exchange (KLIX), South East Asia's newest Internet Business Utility being developed & deployed by Warga Media on the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC). Progress on the KLIX project has been greatly accelerated since April of this year, when an initial agreement of $841,000 was signed. The new agreement calls for a multi-application license of $2.5 million and an ongoing annuity based upon business performance.
Harjono Zain-Al-Abidin, CEO and founder of Warga Media, will participate in TREEV's quarterly investor conference call later today where he will provide analysts with an overview of the current situation in South East Asia and outline plans to help stimulate the region's economic growth with the first Internet Business Utility.
