Eaton's ''hatches'' plan to partner with the Toronto Fashion Incubator
TORONTO, March 17 /CNW/ - Eaton's is pleased to announce its principal fashion retail sponsorship of the Toronto Fashion Incubator. The TFI program assists aspiring Canadian fashion designers to develop their talent and business experience within the fashion industry. As a progressive fashion retailer, the partnership of this worthwhile program reflects Eaton's commitment to the Canadian fashion industry as a whole. Eaton's will hold a seat on the board of directors of the TFI, and has appointed Judi Willard, General Merchandise Manager of Women's Fashions, as the Company representative. Each season Eaton's buyers will preview the Toronto Fashion Incubator collections. From Wednesday, March 17 to Sunday, March 28, 1999, Eaton's will feature the Toronto Fashion Incubator in ''The Well'' space on -1 Below, in the Toronto Eaton Centre store. This event will promote the TFI, its mandate, board of directors and its future as well as Eaton's support of the program. Daily fashion shows and designer appearances will be part of the event plan. The fashion shows will feature the following TFI designers: Wayne Box, David Dixon, Liana Decaro, Serena Deparis for Rapunzel/Ram, Anne Hung, Meghan Kinney Lab, Shelli Oh for harebell, Damzels in This Dress, by Kelly Freeman and Rory Lindo, Daemons in My Closet and DaemonGirl, by Katlin Robinson, Zrihen & Chun, by David Zrihen and Lawrence Wong.
