Brenda one of my friends gave me a hot stock tip for a quick rebound in OMPT. The stock closed near a yearly low on Friday when the following happened:

Omnipoint shares slid 7/8 to close at 10 1/4 after CS First Boston cut the telecommunications and wireless service provider (OMPT) to "hold" from "buy." Citing the recent resignation of the company's chief financial officer(see press release), and other disappointments, analysts Cyntihia Motz and Robert Hordon believed the "hold" rating was more appropriate. In related news, the company's weakness was viewed as a "buy" opportunity at BT Alex Brown. Analyst Bo Fifer and Jeffery Hines set a 12-month price target of $32 a share.

My friend said this is a great company and that the stock should have much more upside than downside risk from this level. Actually I think you know this friend of mine. It's you, Brenda, and you are rarely wrong. I added OMPT to my model portfolio to see how it does. I'm betting really well.

Regards, Jeff
