WelcomeTo Forges a Strategic Alliance with The Source
WelcomeTo Search Engine Inc. and The Source Team Up
To Build the Internet's Largest Shopping Mall
WelcomeTo Search Engine Inc. announced today that it has signed an agreement with The Source that will allow the two companies to develop an extensive on-line shopping center. The Source, a pioneer in Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) technology, operates one of the largest mail and telephone sales services in America. By signing on with WelcomeTo who are designing a commercial search engine, The Source hopes to move its operations onto the Internet and into the twenty first century.
As a search engine, which will list only commercial websites, WelcomeTo is integral to the Internet mall's success. "As a portal site" says WelcomeTo's Vice-President of Sales & Marketing, Greg Beaudin, "we have the ability to direct traffic on the net. And because our search engine lists sites according to region and is therefore easier to use than many of the other Internet search engines, we can attract a significant number of potential customers."
Beaudin foresees that The Source will be the first in a long list of interactive merchant service providers who will take advantage of WelcomeTo's technology. But in spite of the scope of their goal, he maintains that WelcomeTo will not lose sight of its operating mission to provide its users regional focus with global vision. "We look forward to creating the mother of all malls, but we still want it to be the friendliest mall on the Internet, kind of like the cluster of stores you stop by regularly on your way home from work."
