Some Lux Facts:

The company employs 45 people and is an established leading supplier of FPDs and systems for measurement and monitoring systems used in the space, defense, and avionics industries in the U.S. and Europe. Fortune 500 clients include Lockheed Martin, Marconi Electronics Systems and Raytheon Systems. The company is one of only three suppliers to this market which is currently valued at (US) $600 million.

A Huge, Growing Market

The global electronic display market consists of two segments ? flat-panel displays and cathode ray tubes (CRT). It will exceed (US) $40 billion by 2000 and is expected to exceed (US) $100 billion by 2012. The FPD segment will almost double from (US) $17 billion to (US) $32 billion during this period.

The primary contributors to FPD demand are the growth of the portable computer and desktop monitor markets, and the market for new and emerging hand-held consumer electronic products. At the high-end of the market, the segment Luxell now serves which includes avionics, medical, transportation and defense applications, the demand is burgeoning.

The emergence of organic electroluminescent technology (OEL) will play a significant role in this dynamic growth. Luxell?s technology and high-end markets are a natural fit for OEL. The technology enables the design and manufacture of ultra-thin FPDs that use carbon compounds to generate illuminated diagrams, numbers and images. The compounds are deposited on display panels in microscopically thin layers, are easy to manipulate and need very little power. They are a leapfrog technology that will bring full-colour FPDs to cell phones, automobiles, laptop computers and other mass consumer products.

Looks Good!!
