Force Protection, Inc. Names Robin Swain VP Engineering, Vernon Joynt as Chief Scientist Monday November 22, 9:20 am ET
LADSON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 22, 2004--Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB:FRCP - News), the leading manufacturer of ballistic- and mine-protected vehicles for military and security personnel, has appointed Robin Swain as Vice President of Engineering and Dr. Vernon Joynt as Chief Scientist effective November 1, 2004. A veteran in high technology engineering development, Swain has more than 15 years' experience in military and commercial markets. Joynt has more than four decades' experience in the design and development of mine protected vehicles. Both will report to Gale Aguilar, president and CEO of Force Protection.

Prior to joining Force Protection, Swain held several similar positions at corporations including Newport Corporation in Irvine, California, Phase Metrics in San Diego, California, the University of California at San Diego and Rolls Royce Aerospace in Derby, England. Joynt has worked extensively with the South African military in research and development.
Swain earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic engineering, and a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the City of London University in the United Kingdom. Joynt holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in science as well as a Ph.D. in organic chemistry. biz.yahoo.com |
