FYI my comments was very general about the entire US lawmaker and not just Rumsfeld and the word "starting" was the key part of the sentence.


Not sure what "entire US lawmaker" is, but if you're referring to Congress, their support of Israel, and total lack of sympathy for Arafat, has recently been described by reporters as "wall-to-wall".

Inferring administration opposition to, or at least distance from, someone they are "starting to see as the scum they are" is hardly far-fetched. That is, if your statement meant anything beyond wishful thinking.
