>>>i suppose i deal with it by avoiding the possibility

I hear ya, but I always like to make the most of what I've got and sometimes ya get a 10 and that feels the best! Without the margin I never would have participated in Orckits move as much. It also contributed to my decision to sell PAIR in a frenzy a few days ago
and given today's action, I am glad that I missed out of the earnings pop ( precisely what concerned me w/ the stock was the stock action prior to the report).

>>>we all know our own riding style best, don't we?

Ever ride backwards? at market feeding frenzies it can be profitable and it is always good to have a few in hand for the inevitable top.
Plus you get good practice at the short.
Looks bad to short MACR now, only I will hold out for a slippage to low end BB. You look at charts rightsideup, how does ONSL look to you? Crazy Internet stocks are in for trouble some time soon, only not all of them.

AWRE has come back nicely, still don't like the fundamental ADSL situation here, but somebody does to accumulate this baby lately.
Be surprised if it falls below 13 though earnings will be a loss, so how will the stock react to that you think? Probably posted already ( ihave not read ) but when is the scheduled earnings announcement.

Incidentally, only 2 calls in 12 years (none in a crash or mini-crash only the '91 nov. correction) and this one was the broker's
screwup. So I think I can ride ok.
