Most of the summer had been dry but we had rain that day and during the prior week. The skeeters were out by the zillions. I was tossing the training dummy so I couldn't put repellant on my hands and being 85 degrees I hadn't though to bring gloves. By the end of the day I couldn't close my hands around the steering wheel because of the swelling from the bites. The next day I sanded my hands with some 60 grit and rinsed with a bottle of Camphophenique. That hurt but helped the itch.
